Role Overview

As an Analyst - Business Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex challenges, extracting actionable insights from large datasets, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, analytical acumen, and stakeholder management skills to drive impactful business outcomes.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis & Problem Solving

    • Analyze complex issues by reviewing extensive data and identifying actionable solutions.
    • Collaborate with teams within and outside the base location to perform core activities effectively.

  2. Project Execution

    • Execute assigned projects and analyses with precision, adhering to agreed timelines.
    • Build robust business cases and develop key documentation such as Terms of References (ToR) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).

  3. Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Facilitate regular interactions with senior managers, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
    • Challenge stakeholders assertively to ensure deadlines are met and projects remain on track.

  4. Product Development & Business Opportunities

    • Identify product development opportunities and associated business outcomes.
    • Manage regular updates on projects and develop effective management information systems (MIs).

  5. Risk Management

    • Continuously reassess operational risks, considering legal and regulatory changes, technological advancements, and operational practices.

  6. Team Contribution

    • Share knowledge and best practices to contribute to the development and success of the team.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Educational Background

    • A master’s degree in Finance, MCA, MBA, or an equivalent qualification in finance or banking is preferred.
    • Background in Data Analysis, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines, emphasizing analytical and problem-solving skills.

  2. Technical Expertise

    • Programming Skills: Advanced SQL, ETL processes, and experience with GCP coding tools like Big Query. Proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebook, Spyder, Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, or Scala is essential.
    • Data Visualization: Experience with tools like QlikSense and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

  3. Domain Knowledge

    • Familiarity with data management and governance, data lineage, profiling, and quality measurement.
    • Understanding of the financial industry gained through hands-on experience or relevant training courses.

  4. Business Analysis

    • Expertise in addressing business needs, recommending solutions, gathering requirements, and creating BRDs.

  5. Implementation & Delivery

    • Proven experience in managing project implementation and delivery effectively.
