In your role as a Business Manager for Women’s Apparel, you will lead a dynamic team comprising Associate Business Managers, Key Account Managers, and Business Development Executives. You will guide them to drive growth across all categories while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product offerings and ensure that every customer finds exactly what they are looking for.

About the Role
As a Business Manager, you will manage both the demand and supply sides of the business in the Women’s Apparel category. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the best prices and selections are available to customers on the app. You will own the P&L (Profit and Loss) statement for the category and drive value for your resellers and suppliers.
Your ultimate goal? To increase user transactions while helping your suppliers thrive in a highly competitive market. You will also be instrumental in ensuring that the category keeps evolving by identifying trends and filling in any gaps that arise.
What You Will Do:
- Drive Marketplace Growth: Lead the growth of the Women’s Apparel category by focusing on consumer needs and competitor analysis.
- Own the P&L: Take full ownership of the P&L statement for your category, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Revenue and Gross Margins: Set and achieve revenue targets while focusing on gross margins.
- Brand Relationships: Act as the face of Meesho for apparel brands, managing key relationships and growing brand partnerships.
- Merchandising & Planning: Be responsible for merchandising, assortment planning, and option planning both pre-season and in-season.
- Market Trends: Identify emerging trends and gaps in the market to stay ahead of the competition.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with various teams, including marketing, supply chain, cataloging, finance, and commercial teams.
- Promotion & Visibility Plans: Lead efforts to improve category visibility, promotions, and coordinate between internal marketing teams.
What You Will Need:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree.
- Experience: At least 4+ years of experience in business management, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
- Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills. We are looking for hustlers who can think on their feet.
- Speed and Execution: A strong bias for speed in executing ideas and initiatives.
- Multitasking and Critical Thinking: Ability to multitask, think critically, and execute tactically.
- Innovative Mindset: A proven track record of finding creative and innovative solutions to business problems.
- Bonus Points: Experience in building businesses from the ground up (0-1 business) or experience in startups will be highly valued.
